The home-made acaricide preparation “FOBOS” is intended for care and prophylactics of ecto-parasite diseases of cattle (sheep and cows), pigs, furbearers and domestic animals.

It prevents and cares psoropthosis, acarosis, sarcoptosis, demodecosis of animals; and protects against flea, lice and biting louse. There is even evidence of healing pediculosis and mangy disease of people. It can be used for plant protection against acarine.

The “FOBOS” preparation has been protected by the Patent of Ukraine; it had been several times successfully tested on sheep flocks (300 and 1000 heads) at different levels from laboratory (Simferopol vet station, Kharkov vet academy) up to expanded industrial trials according to the Order of the Head Vet Department of Ukraine. It was recommended for practical use after conduction of required additional trials: biological, products of preparation transformation inside the body (in vivo) and analysis.

The preparation is every good as all known imported expensive preparations by its acaricide effect; and it exceeds known preparations by complex of its by-effects (sush as the possibility of a single seasonal treatment, acceleration of wound healing, accelerated growth and pile and fur quality improved).

According to anterior investigations (the Institute of experimental clinical and vet medicine of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Kharkov), the components of the preparation do not accumulate in tissues, blood and organs of animals, but an additional standard research and trials are required.

Chemical enterprises of Ukraine such as Rubezhnoe chemical factory, Ivano-Frankovsk “Kraska” enterprise are willing to organize the production of the pparation unde terms of funds available to conduct works.

In year 2000 the overall head of sheep in Ukraine has been decreased, for example, in more than 12 times compared to year 1990, mainly because of mangy diseases.

The introduction of the home-made preparation into agriculture shall allow abandoning importion of expenive foreign preparations, and starting up regeneration of the cattle hea in a country. It will considerably improve the state of animals and the quality of wool, leather and meat, and import the preparation to other countries.

If produced industrially, the preparation cost, healing and proohylactics of animals will be in 2,5-4 times less than with use of foreign preparations.
